Villenuve les Avignon - City streets, kitties in the window, walking in
the cemetary - first night of biking trip
First day of biking - 31 miles from Villenuve les Avignon to Chateauneuf de
Pape, bridges on the way and the countryside. Vineyards, harvesting the grapes.
Lunch in Chateauneuf de Pape, town square, church and chateau
Second day of biking - 32 miles from Villenuve les Avignon to Uzes
Villenuve in the early morning, light in the doorway, in the fort, along the
town streets.
Pont du Gard - oldest roman aquaduct - 3 levels met the people from New Zealand.
Stopped for lunch in a small town called Castellion du Gard. Lunch was in a
small square - cheese, bread, water, fruit.

Third day of biking - 41 miles from Uzes to Arles.

Beaucaire, Tarascon - the bridge that Ann almost got blown off of - very windy
and spooky. Restaurant where they made us a goat cheese pizza
Fourth day of biking - 20 miles from Arles to St Remy de Provence.
Parade early in the morning and market day. On the way: Abbey outside of Arles,
Roman aquaduct ruins - beautiful countryside view. Roadside shots.
On teh way to Les Baux (up up up up up the hill, into the wind, and into the
rain - very fun). Les Baux castle, shots of the town of Les Baux. Pedaling down
the hill (yes I did say pedaling).

Wandering in Florence, Jardin de Bobolino (behind the Pitti Palace (home of the
Grand Duke Medici), many pictures of buildings, heads, sculpture garden, Pitti
Palace, Grotto outside the Pitti Palace.
Santa Maria Novella Church and plaza, Santa Croce Church burial of Glileo,
Machavelli, Michaelangelo, Dante (not really here just a marker). Opera house,
stained glass window, many, many, many people on the street.
Sculptures on every corner, Firesole - archetectual theatre, baths, greek urns
and potteryCity tour - Duomo, streets people, Piazzata St Michaelangelo, fake
David - Bronze, Ann and Dan with city behind, Duomo, Baptistry, Bell Tower,
Clock Tower, falcon girl
Anoher fake David outside, Hall of 100 - many sculptures, frescos,
Outside the Uffizi - sculptures, Plaza Lorenzo and the 300 stall market -
leather, scarves, trinkets

Rome
Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon (inside, outside, around the outside,
down the street ... essentially from every angle). Piazzata de Navonne -
fountains and artists selling their wares.
